MANILA, Philippines — While he hoped that his administration-backed Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas senatorial slate got better results during the May 2025 midterm elections, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Saturday said it was now time to put the politics aside and “get on with the work of nation-building.”
During Alyansa’s thanksgiving party at the Bagong Pilipinas’ headquarters in Mandaluyong City, Marcos said that political differences were “a distraction” to governance.
