Why Clonmany Mass ticks all the boxes for Pat Spillane!

GAA legend Pat Spillane has given high praise to the morning Mass in Clonmany… for its brevity!

The Kerryman was on Tommy Tiernan’s show on RTE One last night, where he gave an open account of his sports and punditry career.

On faith, Pat said that since Covid, he’s been tuning into online Masses around the country.

His exploration of live streamed Masses has shown him “where’s the good Mass and where’s the bad Mass”.

He says he avoids big towns and cathedrals as they are more likely to have young Canons who are “on the way up” and who give long sermons.

But Clonmany is up there with the good ones!
